MELBOURNE, August 3 AAP - Good to very good skiing on firm packed and fresh manmade snow in
Victoria's alpine ski resorts, the Victorian Snow Report said.
Chains must be carried and fitted where directed.
Conditions at 6.09am:
FALLS CREEK: Good to very good skiing on firm packed snow on all areas open. Extensive
grooming and snowmaking overnight. Terrain park open. Best skiing Ruined Castle, Scotts,
Towers and Panorama. Cross-country: Very good to excellent with over 25kms of recently groomed
trails. Lifts: 16/18. Temp: -5.8 degC. Snow depth: 54cm. Snowmaking areas: Very good. Fresh:
0cm. Last snow: 30/7. Wind: Light S. Visibility: Excellent. Snowmaking: In progress overnight.
Weather: Clear. Toboggan run: Open. Road: Open and clear.
MT BULLER: Good to very good skiing on firm packed and fresh manmade snow in most areas
open. Extensive grooming and snowmaking. Beginners-Burnt Hut, Intermediate-LT Buller,
Advanced-Mens Downhill and Slalom Gully. Cross country: Good through Village (ungroomed).
Lifts: 20/25. Temp: -3.8 degC. Snow depth: 42cm. Snowmaking areas: Very good. Fresh: 0cm. Last
snow: 30/7. Wind: Light var. Visibility: Excellent. Snowmaking: In progress overnight.
Weather: Clear. Toboggan run: Open. Road: Open and clear.
MT HOTHAM: Very good to excellent skiing and boarding on all areas open. Extensive grooming
and snowmaking overnight. Upper Blue Ribbon runs and Orchard open. Cross country: Good to very
good skiing on most trails with fair to good skiiing to Dinner Plain. Lifts: 12/13. Temp: -5.2
degC. Snow depth: 66cm. Snowmaking areas: Very good. Fresh: 0cm. Last snow: 31/7. Wind: Calm.
Visibility: Excellent. Snowmaking: In progress overnight. Weather: Fair. Toboggan run: Open.
Road: Open and icy patches.
MT BAW BAW: Fair to good beginner and intermediate skiing on the Hut Run Platter. Excellent
sightseeing snow, toboganning and snowplay. Chairlift to operate on demand for sightseeing.
Cross country: Fair to good on a fair snow cover on all trails throughout the resort. Lifts:
2/8. Temp: -3 degC. Snow depth: 10cm. Fresh: 0cm. Last snow: 31/7. Snowplay: Excellent. Wind:
Light SE. Visibility: Good. Snowmaking areas: When conditions permit. Weather: Clear. Toboggan
run: Open, excellent. Road: Open and clear.
MT BUFFALO: Good skiing on a fresh manmade and groomed snow cover. Good sightseeing snow,
snowplay and toboganning. Cross country: Poor on Horn Road (some patches). Poor on 4km loop.

LAKE MOUNTAIN: Fair to good cross country skiing on upper trails with poor skiing on lower
levels on a fresh and groomed snow cover. Good sightseeing snow and snowplay. Fair
toboganning. Temp: -0.4 degC. Snow depth: 6cm. Snowmaking areas: Good. Fresh: 0cm. Last snow:
31/7. Wind: Light WNW. Visibility: Good. Snowmaking: When conditions permit. Weather: Clear.

MT STIRLING: Good cross country on the upper trails only. Fair to good sightseeing
snow/snowplay. Firm coverage early softening during the day. Shuttle bus running to Kings
Saddle. Snow depth: 20cm. Fresh: 0cm. Last snow: 31/7. Weather: Clear. Wind: Light.
Visibility: Good. Toboggan run: Closed. Road: Open and clear.
DINNER PLAIN: Good downhill and fair cross country skiing on upper trails (ungroomed). Good
cross country through to Wire Plain and to Hotham on link trail (ungroomed). Good sightseeing.
Icy cover for toboganning. Lifts: 1/1. Snow depth: 14cm. Fresh: 0cm. Last snow: 31/7. Wind:
Calm. Visibility: Good. Toboggan run: Open, fair. Road: Open and icy.
MT ST GWINEAR: Poor cross sountry skiing on a fair cover of icy snow. Very good sightseeing
snow and snowplay. Fair tobogganing. Facilities: Open. Road: Open and clear.
MT DONNA BUANG: No snow.
