A Troy man who claims he was wrongly arrested for stealing from his grandmother is suing the state for $50,000 in a false arrest action.

Darren L. Favreau of 109 Mountainview Ave. contends in the Court of Claims suit that he was physically and verbally abused by state Trooper Donald Rasmussen on July 5, 1989.
