NSW: Elderly women knocked to ground in bag snatchings
SYDNEY, April 20 AAP - Two elderly women have been knocked to the ground during separate
bag snatchings in Sydney's east.
An 84-year-old woman was pushed to the ground from behind and had her bag taken as
she was walking on Coolong Road at Vaucluse just after noon (AEST) on Sunday.
She was taken to St Vincent's Hospital with cuts, bruises and grazing.
About an hour later, a 72-year-old woman was attacked while she was entering her home
at Dover Heights.
A man jumped over a low wall and grabbed her bag, knocking her over when she resisted.
She was left with a graze to her foot and elbow.
The man has been described as being about 183cm tall, in early 30s with a thin build
and short fair-to-brown hair.
At the time of the incident, he was wearing a light blue top, dark pants and white sneakers.
Anyone who has information that might assist investigating officers is urged to contact
Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
