Three-Decade Growth Process Puts MCA in Artistic Limelight

Some memorable dates in the history of the Museum ofContemporary Art: 1967: The museum opens its doors to the public Oct. 24 in abuilding that had been erected as a bakery and later served as theoffices of Playboy Enterprises.

1969: Christo wraps the MCA's building and galleries with 8,000square feet of tarpaulin and rope.
