2 KILLED ON ROADS WHEN HIT BY AUTOS.(CAPITAL REGION)

Two pedestrians -- a 21-year-old man and a 73-year-old woman -- were killed Saturday in separate accidents on dark suburban roads, police said. The first, which police described as hit-and-run, occurred just after midnight in Guilderland; the second accident happened in Brunswick at about 5:30 p.m.

Shortly after Robert Rowe of 20 Wendom Road was struck on Gipp Road at 12:07 a.m., Guilderland police arrested a man in a pickup truck parked nearby and charged him with drunken driving, Sgt. Curtis Cox said.
